in bloom.

keep in mind i drafted this in early 2009, so a lot has changed since then and i am only now posting it for some fun and the fact that i must stick to my original blog plan. this post must be first, v important stuff. the first post ...

currently channelling the 90's. but, more specifically ... grunge. as contradictory as it seems, i'm diving into the grunge fashion, obv inspired by the 90's era, style, music and Nirvana. yes, Nirvana deserves it's own section. runway muses and celebs have also been inspired by this evolution/culture. bogan much? grunge is anti-fashion. it's filth. it's dirt. it's rubbish. it's o so me. grunge rocks. period. what exactly i'm diggin' ... - acid wash and double denims are mandatory - the old high waisted trick & midriffs - rips - plaid, flanelette shirts - band tees - bulky work-wear shoes - docs are prime - bed-hair regrowth - ripped and loose knits. yum. inspiration like - nirvana, soundgarden, pearl jam, silverchair, and stone temple pilots. i want to rape these doc martens. schwing! annnd even better (i'm pretty sure) this range is/was called 'in bloom'. *sigh*. could not have been more fitting. and how could i neglect "Wayne's World"? i couldn't. why not? love it. watch for a laugh and some secret fabu fashion tips. deep down, i'm positive that i was a grunge child too. go the skivees, knits and boots. not to mention my hair at the time. so, party on, kids. oh, kurt would be tickled. ... not.
