just learning to fly. it was as if i had never been on a plane before when heading to auckland - a huge plane flying domestically? i couldn't fathom the concept. (in saying that, the trip back was drastically at the other end of the excitement spectrum).

"happy in the club with a bottle of red wine, stars in our eyes cause we're having a good time. eh eh, so happy i could die. be your best friend, yeah i'll love you forever. up in the clouds cause we're higher than ever" - saturday night motto.

atop mt. eden overlooking the Auckland city skyline in madame hawke jeans, madame hawke swing jumper and (rumi neely) 'almost famous' sunnie from the cobra snake/shop.
first froz in a looooong time. well, when in auckland ...

and the show begins ...

so much for never taking candy from strangers.
dig a pony. pony club's katy perry after party w/DJ skeet skeet. we went a little nuts on photos here.

casually bumped into jay reeves AGAIN. woohoo, biggest GC.
"... our middle fingers in the air" - oh so badass. haha.
katy perry's DJ - DJ skeet skeet. apparently he'll "never forget" me. classic.
the end of a crazy, sleepless, euphoric, drunken, hilarious and hungover weekend. oh so 'starstrukk' all weekend (get the connection there?). too mant title options. i have a sneaking suspicion that ke$ha would be tickled.
many photos courtesy of the stunning ellen worthington.
the Great Depression of (predominently) the 1930s saw the phenomenon known as 'the lipstick effect'. while there were decreased sales in virtually everything, the sales of lipstick (and other cosmetics) increased. "what we saw was a consumer trying to make themselves feel better through small, indulgent, hedonic consumption". seem familiar? although superficial it is a fact and one that has embedded its way through to today's recession.
"i wanna se your peacock, cock, cock. your peacock, cock". i was over-the-moon to find that mac FINALLY released a blue lippy (limited edition 'peacocky'). bliss. re-applying after the Katy Perry concert on sunday night - how fitting.
a few lipstick adventures so far in 2011 - lipstick used to appear to me as such an 'old' and mature possession; unbeknownst to me it would become my best-friend.
like many things, there is no more mac in chch. however, the nice people at Kirkaldie & Stains sent me my Lady Gaga Viva Glam II lipstick and gloss free postage. aww, they must understand 'the lipstick effect'. bless.
[insert childhood lipstick incident photo here] - just you wait.
as a semi-extremist (contradiction) i am a fan of nude or dramatic lips. check out mac's - snob, cyber, peacocky, saint germain, media, crem d'nude, myth ...
just a little pick me up (one you are sure to get compliments on). go. treat yourself. swak.
lil' mama would be tickled.
